Social and charitable causes play an exceptional role in METROPIA. The artist community present at these events lends itself to educating event attendees on socially relevant issues through live art, spoken word, graffiti, and other media. The METROPIA Experience meets both marketers and event attendees’ desire to make a positive impact in their society. A portion of proceeds from METROPIA Chicago will benefit locally-based anti-bullying organization, The Bully Police Squad, as well as the Chicago Sound Alliance, WLUW!

The Bully Police Squad was founded by Karen Wojcikowski after the numerous cases of bullying that had been reported, many cases involving death. Karen and the Bully Police Squad work to educate parents, teachers and children about bullying and social cruelty. Our Mission Statement: Educating our youth on the impact of bullying and empowering the victim and bystander to make informed and courageous decisions.

WLUW is a 24/7 student-run radio station broadcasting from the campus of Loyola University Chicago. WLUW is dedicated to broadcasting independent music and talk programming and is a source of learning and growth for our students.
